In addition to group programs, we also offer one-on-one MBSR, on request. We've opened up this option to provide greater flexibility to meet the needs of people who are interested in a more personalized approach. These one-on-one offerings differ from the traditional MBSR structure, and typically involve 1-hour weekly sessions for a time period that we decide on with you during a free one-on-one intro session.
One-on-one offerings include:
personalized sessions with one instructor (personalized interpersonal support & process)
guidance in formal/informal mindfulness practice
tailored home exercises
guided meditation & yoga recordings
workbook
optional day-long weekend retreat in group setting
It is perfectly understandable if you prefer a more private setting to begin your mindfulness practice. Previous participants have sought out personalized MBSR for reasons including (but not limited to):
difficult life transitions (loss of job, loss of loved one, family relationship changes)
navigating illness/health issues
managing work/vocational stress
managing relationship issues
Insurance: Unfortunately, at this time we do not accept insurance. We can however offer you a receipt of services which some insurance providers may cover under flexible spending and/or related health accounts.
MBSR is not a replacement for clinical mental health therapy. Individuals facing the following conditions are recommended to have a strong mental health support team before beginning MBSR work:
recent history of substance abuse
severe PTSD
suicidal ideation

Introductory sessions are free: We offer a free intro session to one-on-one work, to ensure it is a good fit for your current needs.
