“I began looking for a local MBSR class in 2016 when a friend intervened with a copy of Kabat-Zinn's Full Catastrophe Living. My body was finally rebelling after a decade of just pushing through high-stress work, caretaking and traumatic losses. It took another year till Chelsea & Victor brought their very personal, community-building variety of MBSR to our town & not a moment too soon. MBSR landed me back in the body that had been wracked with mind-gut tumult and anxiety, and slowed me enough to prioritize my own healing for 40 minutes a day (not much to ask from a body that's carried me all these years). Since the course, I have a version of the ‘muscle-memory’ from those 8+ weeks and know how and when stop to do a body scan, and more regularly, to give full attention when I go about everyday tasks. Victor & Chelsea's approach is true inquiry with the group and gentle, while clear encouragement. Set aside time for yourself through this course.”
-Jennifer “It was such a pleasure to have Chelsea and Victor share their knowledge and passion for MBSR. I left the program feeling centered, grounded and energetic. Our world and our community need this more than ever right now. What a gift to the community!” -Raquelle “This program’s format is offered in a way that draws in people from all walks of life and safely centers everyone. -Amy “I approached this MBSR program because I was looking for someone to help hold me accountable for my health and wellness. The weekly workshops helped me ‘sharpen the saw’ per say. I had already had an interest in mindfulness meditation. Chelsea and Victor helped me flourish that interest and give me simple steps to revolutionize my practice. The result was me making a far more mindful effort to take action to help myself though mindfulness during any given moment. In particular, I liked the meditation retreat towards the end of the class because it allowed me to take an entire afternoon to decompress and really apply everything we had been studying. I found the entire experience an incredible investment of my time and energy because I still use the practices learned in MBSR to this day. I would recommend Chelsea and Victor’s MBSR program to anyone who wants learn how to practice mindfulness. If you're a beginner, the workshops will teach you how to begin a long lasting practice that you can apply throughout your life. If you've already dabbled with meditation, stress reduction, yoga, or anything of the like, this class will help you ‘sharpen the saw’ to help keep you focused and engaged.” -Ben |
